The La Mirada City Council
and La Mirada Redevelopment Agency hold their regular meetings
concurrently. Following appearances,
presentations, proclamations or appointments, any public hearings scheduled by
either the City Council or Agency will be held. At the conclusion of public hearings, the Redevelopment Agency
will conduct its scheduled business.
Items for City Council consideration will commence following the
Redevelopment Agency portion of the Agenda.
In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, if you need
special assistance to participate in a City meeting or other services offered
by this City, please call (562) 943-0131 and contact the City Clerk’s office or
the Personnel Department. Notification
at least 48 hours prior to the meeting or time when services are needed will
assist the City staff in assuring that reasonable arrangements can be made to
provide accessibility to the meeting or service.
All cell phones, pagers and other audible electronic devices should be
in their off or silent position while the meeting is in session.
To address the Council on an Agenda item other than a Public Hearing or
during Public Comments, please fill out a “Request to address Council” card and
place in the container before the start of meeting or as soon as possible after
the meeting starts.
IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO FILL OUT A CARD TO SPEAK DURING PUBLIC COMMENT.

1. MEETING MINUTES - It is recommended AGENCY approve the minutes of the regular meeting of December 12, 2006 and the study session meeting of December 19, 2006.
2.
It is recommended AGENCY approve the
warrant registers dated December 20, 2006 in the total amount of $3,950.00;
December 27, 2006 in the total amount of $3,408.00; and, January 3, 2007 in the
total amount of $6,742.68.

3. MEETING MINUTES - It is recommended CITY COUNCIL approve the minutes of the regular meeting of December 12, 2006 and the study session meeting of December 19, 2006.
4. REJECTION OF CLAIM – MERCURY INSURANCE COMPANY (AS SUBROGEE FOR DOLORES MCPHERSON) – It is recommended CITY COUNCIL reject the claim.
5. LOS ANGELES COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT “MUG RUN” – It is recommended CITY COUNCIL approve this event to be held on Saturday, January 20, 2007 in accordance with the conditions and recommendations of staff.
6. CASH CONTRACT NO. 2004-03 – BEACH BOULEVARD MEDIAN AND PARKWAY IMPROVEMENTS – REVIEW OF PROFESSIONAL SERVICES PROPOSALS FOR CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT ADMINISTRATION – It is recommended CITY COUNCIL accept the proposals from AAE Engineering, Inc. for construction inspection services in the amount of $80,700.00 and for Community Development Block Grant administration in the amount of $8,000.00; direct the City Attorney to prepare a Professional Services Agreement with AAE Engineering, Inc. for a fee not to exceed $88,700.00; and authorize the Mayor to execute the agreement on behalf of the City.

It is recommended CITY COUNCIL approve the
warrant registers dated December 20, 2006 in the total amount of $1,909,449.26;
December 27, 2006 in the total amount of $312,132.28; and, January 3, 2007 in
the total amount of $878,577.80.
