The La Mirada City Council
and La Mirada Redevelopment Agency hold their regular meetings
concurrently. Following appearances,
presentations, proclamations or appointments, any public hearings scheduled by
either the City Council or Agency will be held. At the conclusion of public hearings, the Redevelopment Agency
will conduct its scheduled business.
Items for City Council consideration will commence following the
Redevelopment Agency portion of the Agenda.
In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, if you need
special assistance to participate in a City meeting or other services offered
by this City, please call (562) 943-0131 and contact the City Clerk’s office or
the Personnel Department. Notification
at least 48 hours prior to the meeting or time when services are needed will
assist the City staff in assuring that reasonable arrangements can be made to
provide accessibility to the meeting or service.
All cell phones, pagers and other audible electronic devices should be
in their off or silent position while the meeting is in session.
To address the Council on an Agenda item other than a Public Hearing or
during Public Comments, please fill out a “Request to Address Council” card
located in the container on the wall adjacent to the doors of the Council
Chambers and submit it to the City Clerk before the start of the meeting or as
soon as possible after the meeting starts.
IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO FILL OUT A CARD TO SPEAK DURING PUBLIC COMMENT.

I. PROCLAMATION – SCHOOL SAFETY AND CRIME
PREVENTION MONTH – OCTOBER 2007 – It is recommended CITY COUNCIL present the
proclamation to Lieutenant Bob Esson, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department
and Ginger Shattuck, Superintendent of the Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School
District.
II. PROCLAMATION – RED RIBBON WEEK –
OCTOBER 22 – 26, 2007 – It is recommended CITY COUNCIL present the
proclamation to Mary Cipres, Safety Education Officer, Public Safety Department
and Ginger Shattuck, Superintendent of the Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School
District.

1. MEETING MINUTES - It is recommended AGENCY approve the minutes of the regular meeting of September 25, 2007 and the study session meeting of October 2, 2007.

warrant register dated October 10, 2007 in the total amount of $13,549.86.

4. REJECTION OF CLAIM –
LELAN MARLATT- It is recommended CITY
COUNCIL reject
the claim.
5. CASH CONTRACT NO. 2007- 01 IMPERIAL HIGHWAY STREET IMPROVEMENTS FROM OCASO AVENUE TO EAST OF SANTA GERTRUDES AVENUE - REQUEST FOR PARTIAL PAYMENT – It is recommended CITY COUNCIL authorize partial payment to C.S. Legacy Construction, Inc. in the amount of $42,170.85.
6. AGREEMENT FOR ADULT PROBATION SERVICES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2007-08 – It is recommended CITY COUNCIL approve the Agreement for Fiscal Year 2007-08; and, authorize the City Manager to execute the Agreement on behalf of the City.

warrant register dated October 10, 2007 in the total amount of $4,718,434.76.
