Army E-3 Specialist
Mark joined the Army when he turned 17 years old. He took the California High School Proficiency Test and passed. At this time he decided not to continue attending La Mirada High School and pursued the Army as a full-time career. He turned 17 years old May 31, 2001 and was enlisted 30 days later. He attended basic training in Fort Sill, OK. He then went on to Fort Benning, GA for paratrooper training. He was stationed at Fort Bragg, NC, with the 321st Field Artillery Regimen. He was deployed to Afghanistan in March of this year. We are very proud of Mark’s accomplishments and can’t wait until he comes home from the Middle East.
