La Mirada Practice Disaster Preparedness
City staff and Sheriff’s Department personnel conducted an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) refresher training and tabletop exercise on Thursday, November 16.
“The purpose of the training is to better understand the functions and purpose of our EOC, the role and responsibilities we have as responders, and the importance of communication and resource documentation following a major incident,” says Senior Administrative Analyst Mark Rounds. “The overall goal is to ensure we are prepared for a disaster event.”
The EOC is the focal point for coordination of the City’s emergency planning, response, and recovery efforts.
