Lieutenant Kevin Beggs Recognized for Dedicated Service
The La Mirada City Council recognized Lieutenant Kevin Beggs of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department for his dedicated years of service to the community during Tuesday’s regular meeting.
Lt. Beggs has served as the Service Area Lieutenant for La Mirada during the past four years. He recently accepted a position in the Sherriff’s Department’s Major Crimes Division.
His previous experience includes serving on the special enforcement Bureau as a canine specialist and team leader. He also worked at the Men’s Central Jail and Norwalk, and Industry Sheriff’s Station.
Lt. Beggs’ support for community policing, proactive law enforcement efforts, and dedication to the community were highly effective in keeping La Mirada safe. La Mirada consistently has among the lowest crime rates of any city in the region. He was especially dedicated to reducing crime and gang activity.
“Lieutenant Beggs truly enjoys serving the community,” says Mayor Ed Eng. “The City of La Mirada is fortunate to have received such dedicated leadership on our Public Safety Team.”
