The City of La Mirada reminds residents to be safe when celebrating the New Year. The Public Safety Team will be taking a zero-tolerance approach to ensure the safety of residents.
To enjoy a safe holiday, keep in mind the following:
- Gunfire is prohibited.
- Fireworks, including “safe and sane” fireworks, may not be discharged.
- Public drinking of alcoholic beverages and public intoxication are prohibited.
- Following a warning by the Public Safety Team, individuals who host large parties that disturb the peace and quiet of the neighborhood will billed for the cost of breaking up the party.
- Streets may not be blocked to accommodate large parties.
- If you drink, don’t drive!
