SheriffÕs Station Dedicated on March 1

The recent dedication of the La Mirada Community SheriffÕs Station drew hundreds of residents to the Civic Center on March 1.

The event included a special ribbon cutting ceremony featuring the La Mirada City Council, Sheriff Leroy D. Baca, Supervisor Don Knabe and Assemblyman Bob Huff.  Guests enjoyed the Public Safety Fair, BMX bike shows and childrenÕs games.  They were also given a special opportunity to tour the new station.

The SheriffÕs Station expansion highlights the CityÕs ongoing efforts to promote public safety and keep a low crime rate in La Mirada.

The new station centralizes the Public Safety Team under one roof and enables SheriffÕs Deputies to be more visible in the community.
