Income Tax Assistance E-filing now available! Free federal and state income tax assistance is offered by trained AARP volunteers at the La Mirada Activity Center. No appointment is necessary; assistance is on a first come, first serve basis. Taxpayers should bring records of income and deductions including forms W-2, W2P, and 1099's, statements showing interest and dividends, a copy of last year's tax return, and any other pertinent records. SeniorNet
Computer Classes - Ages 50+ Learn to use computers and to access the internet through this hands-on class sponsored by Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital and taught by trained senior volunteer instructors. Fees range from $10.50 for a 4-class introduction course to $23 for an 8-class course. In addition, SeniorNet requires an annual membership fee of $40. Courses include: Computers Fundamentals, Introduction to Computers, Introduction to Navigating the Internet, Word Processing, Graphics, Genealogy, Digital Photography, and Money Management Call (562) 902-3160 for class schedule or volunteer information. La Mirada Community Gymnasium Sharon's and Lea's exercise classes are designed for chair exercise, which focus on stretching and a light aerobic exercise.
