The Public Works Department is located in La Mirada’s industrial area on Phoebe Avenue north of Alondra Boulevard. The department maintains the City’s parks and athletic facilities, parkways, medians, and public buildings. Public Works is also responsible for the maintenance of all City equipment and graffiti removal program.
La Mirada Transit has been providing Dial-A-Ride transportation services in the community since 1973. The convenient, door-to-door service helps to meet the community’s transportation needs for employment, shopping, recreation and medical purposes. The system operates Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Call (562) 943-6776 or (714) 521-0330 to schedule your ride.
