Your Donations Help Bolster Local Services And Programs

Individuals, corporations and community organizations are key sources of financial support for community services and cultural programs. Gifts and contributions intended to support programs benefiting the local community can be directed to two non-profit foundations.

The Community Services Foundation uses donations to benefit a wide variety of community services and programs. The Foundation works to improve the quality of life in La Mirada by supporting services and programs designed to meeting the social, physical, developmental and recreational needs of local residents. In addition, the Foundation offers guidance to other non-profit organizations needing support in serving the community.  Donations have been used to purchase lifesaving equipment, provide food for needy families, obtain park play equipment, conduct community events, and help equip a computer lab. The Community Services Foundation is also seeking donations to assist in funding the proposed La Mirada Aquatic Center and Sheriff's Station expansion.

The La Mirada Theatre Foundation, another non-profit corporation, was formed in 1988 to assist with programs operated by the La Mirada Theatre. Donations have been used for a variety of purposes, including the acquisition of specialized equipment.

Contributors may specify the type of
service they wish to fund. All funds received by the foundation are used for their intended purpose and no funds are directed to administrative overhead costs. Donations are tax deductible; see your tax advisor.
