Introduction and Hours

The La Mirada Gymnasium was built in October, 1997. The Gymnasium houses the City of La Mirada’s Youth and Adult Sports programs as well as an array of fitness activities for seniors and families. The La Mirada Community Gymnasium provides patrons of all ages a place to enjoy a variety of sports in a recreational environment, including Basketball, Indoor Futsal Soccer, Volleyball, Dodgeball, Flag Football, and Table Tennis. • Mondays & Wednesdays: 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
• Tuesdays & Thursdays: 6:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. & 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. 
• Fridays: 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
• Saturdays: 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Sundays: 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. 


Membership & Free Play

Access to the Community Gymnasium’s free-play hours requires that all patrons be members. The Community Gymnasium has set aside specific hours for free-play (open gym) for Community Gymnasium Members. Open Gym programs include adult basketball, adult volleyball, youth and adult futsal indoor soccer, and adult open table tennis! Hours vary slightly by season. The following are Community Gymnasium membership rates and types. Access to our Fitness Room is also included.

• Adult Annual Pass (Ages 18-49) $35
• Older Adult Annual Pass (Ages 50 +) $20
• Youth Annual Pass (17 and under) $20
• Family Pass (Max. 4 Adults) $75
• Trial Pass (Any Age, one visit) $3

Fitness Room

The Community Gymnasium also offers a Fitness Room for all of your cardio needs. Be sure to stop by to check out the various equipment including treadmills, stationary bikes, elliptical machines, and stair climbers.

Volunteer Coaches

If you or anyone you know is interested in becoming a Volunteer coach, please visit the Family Services page or call the Community Gymnasium for more information.
Volunteer coaches must complete and submit a City of La Mirada Community Services Department “Volunteers In Action” form. All volunteers regardless of age are required to participate in the City’s LiveScan background process.

Coaching Clinics are also held for various sports in season for anyone interested in learning or brushing up on the skills needed to successfully coach youth sports. Please contact the Community Gymnasium for upcoming Coaching Clinics.
