La Mirada's Holiday Home Decorating Contest encourages residents to decorate their homes and spread the holiday spirit.

This year, residents can nominate their favorite home for Most Original, Best Use of Lights, and Best Holiday Scene. A Best Decorated Neighborhood will also be awarded. Home nominations will be accepted from December 1 through 8. No submissions will be considered after the nomination deadline. To nominate your house or a neighbor's, CLICK HERE.

The judging period will take place December 15 through 18. During this period all residents will be able to vote electronically by selecting up to three homes for each of the three categories by visiting HERE. 

The top three homes in each category and the Best Decorated Neighborhood will be announced on the City's website and social media during the week of December 22. The three first place winners and the Best Decorated Neighborhood will receive a yard sign and special visit from Santa and his elves on December 22. Second and third place winners will also be awarded with a special yard sign.
