The City of La Mirada and the Los Angeles County Commission on Aging’s (LACCOA) Older Americans Recognition Day Awards Program (OARD) recognizes seniors throughout Los Angeles County for their dedicated volunteer service and positive impact in the lives of others. This year, nominations for the OARD Program will be accepted through Friday, January 16. The 2026 OARD Award Nomination Form can be submitted in person to the Activity Center or electronically by clicking this link.
The selected award recipient will be recognized as La Mirada’s honoree at the Los Angeles County Commission on Aging’s Older Americans Recognition Day award ceremony and at a City Council meeting in May 2026. For more information, please call the Activity Center (562) 902-3160.
