The City of La Mirada is pleased to announce a new Senior Excursion Program for adults aged 50 and over. On Thursday, February 26, participants are invited to take a trip to the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum in Yorba Linda for an enriching day of history.
The Richard Nixon Presidential Library features a variety of exhibits that share the history of the 37th President. This is a great chance to learn more about his time in office and his lasting impact on the world. The all-inclusive fee is $43 per person for ages 62 and over and $60 for anyone ages 50-61, and covers round-trip transportation on a comfortable chartered bus, museum admission, and a boxed lunch that will be enjoyed in the beautiful Rose Garden. The transportation costs are covered by Proposition A Local Return funds. The excursion will depart from the La Mirada Activity Center at 8:30 a.m. and will return at approximately 3 p.m.
This trip is a great way for older adults to connect with history and fellow community members. (Space is limited and registration required.)
Interested individuals ages 50 and up should contact the La Mirada Activity Center at (562) 902-3160 or visit www.cityoflamirada.org to register.
