Construction Ended: Fall 2022
Funding Source:
Gas Tax, Measure R & M, RMRA
Budget:
$4,043,600

Background: Many of the neighborhood streets in La Mirada were constructed over 50 years ago and, while they have received preventive maintenance, the pavement exceeded its useful life and required rehabilitation. This project was the seventh phase (second part of Phase 6) of the City’s residential street rehabilitation projects.

Work

Work included pavement rehabilitation, replacement of damaged curb, gutter and sidewalk, upgrades to existing and placement of new handicap curb access ramps, removal and replacement of slotted cross gutters, and slurry seal of recently repaved streets within the project boundary.

Project Area

The project area was bounded by Imperial Highway, La Mirada Boulevard, Calpella Street and Biola Avenue.  All local streets within these limits were included. Imperial Highway, La Mirada Boulevard and Biola Avenue were not part of this project.
