Background: Asphalt concrete pavement used for roadways and parking lots is one of the City’s largest assets.  Regular pavement maintenance is required in order to achieve the full, useful life of the pavement.  Slurry sealing the pavement is an effective preventive maintenance strategy.  The slurry seal coating provides a protective layer and wearing course for the original pavement structure.

Rosecrans Avenue from Valley View Avenue to east City limits, La Mirada Boulevard from Leffingwell Road to Alondra Boulevard, and Hillsborough Drive from Beach Boulevard to east City limits, were due for a slurry seal pavement maintenance application.

Work

This project included the application of slurry seal and replacement of pavement legends and striping.

Project Area

The project area included Rosecrans Avenue from Valley View Avenue to east City limits, La Mirada Boulevard from Leffingwell Road to Alondra Boulevard, and Hillsborough Drive from Beach Boulevard to east City limits.
