The City's Public Works Department manages the sanitary sewer collection system, which serves the residents and local businesses of the City of La Mirada and consists of about 120 miles of gravity sewer lines and 4 pump stations. The City's local sewers discharge into the Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County facilities for conveyance, treatment, and disposal.

The field operation and maintenance services are fulfilled by utilizing the services provided by the Consolidated Sewer Maintenance District (CSMD), which is managed by the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works (LACDPW).

To report Sanitary Sewer Overflow (SSO), odors, varmints, etc. or any sewer issues, please contact LACDPW Hotline number at 1-800-675-4357.
